As a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the RHEL infrastructure. Your role will involve overseeing system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the RHEL environment. Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS136, T4, Band 7 · Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management. · Work on RHEL 7.x/8.x and perform system administration, which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance · Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. · Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection. · Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment. · Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. · Perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable, Hp WebInspect, and others · Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; create mitigation plans and implement both proactive and retrospective solutions Minimum Requirements TCS136, T4, Band 7 · Active Secret clearance is required. · Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship. · This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. · Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Colorado Spring, CO. · This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed. · This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. · 7+ years of experience working as a system admin on Linux or Red Hat systems is required. Related experience is acceptable.

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
