STAFF ACCOUNTANT

$55,000- $65,000 + Bonus
Join a well-established construction company known for its strong industry presence and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with accounting principles.
OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
Assist with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
Support job costing and WIP (Work in Progress) accounting to track project financials.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management.
Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and expense reports.
Assist with payroll processing and related journal entries.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations.
Work closely with project managers and finance teams to track costs and budgets.
Assist with tax preparation and audit support as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience with job costing, WIP accounting, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).
