Responsibilities

  • Provide tax consulting services within a sales tax lookback to understand total exposure
  • Conduct detailed tax research and analysis to develop innovative tax planning strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits, responding to tax authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, identifying opportunities for new client acquisition and service expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax consulting, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Profound knowledge of sales tax and its application in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing tax audits.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A strong ethical standard is essential.
