Sales Manager (Flavor & Fragrance Ingredients)
Location: New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania (remote position but must be able to commute to PA office for meetings, etc)
Salary: $80k - $95k DOE
Travel: Approximately 20–30% throughout the assigned territory and as needed for client meetings
A growing global supplier of flavor and fragrance ingredients is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth across the U.S. and international markets. This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in NJ, NY, or PA who are comfortable with regular business travel.
Duties
- Develop and execute strategic sales and account plans to achieve revenue and gross margin goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the flavor & fragrance, food & beverage, personal care, and home care industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across R&D, Procurement, Marketing, and executive leadership.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for increased business.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, product pricing, and competitive activity.
- Lead pricing negotiations, contracts, and supply chain forecasting.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer information, and project activity within the CRM.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and business opportunities are successfully executed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience within the flavor, fragrance, specialty chemical, food ingredient, or related industries.
- Proven success managing technical sales, complex sales cycles, and significant customer portfolios.
- Strong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20–30%.
