Position: Medical Physicist

Location: Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY

Work Type: Full‑Time

Responsibilities

  • Perform overall quality assurance of the clinic’s linear accelerators.
  • Co‑operate with machine service staff to ensure equipment operates at optimum level.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on the machine and evaluate radiation plans with dosimetry.
  • Review patient charts on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MSc from an accredited program in Medical Physics or a related field.
  • NYS licensure as a Medical Physicist (Therapeutic Radiological).

Experience

  • Experience with 3‑D conformal radiotherapy and treatment planning systems.
  • Experience with IMRT/VMAT.
  • Knowledge of calibration of linear accelerators and periodical quality assurance.

  • Standard Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., scheduled
  • Weekend/Holiday: No
