About The Role

The role owns the administrative backbone of a growing healthcare technology organization: overseeing compliance operations, provider credentialing, payer coordination, and HIPAA-driven process governance across clinical and non-clinical teams.

This position matters because the regulatory surface is large — HIPAA, CMS guidelines, state licensure in multi-state operations — and the role turns those requirements into working systems, audits, and workflows that keep the business running safely and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day healthcare administration: provider credentialing, payer enrollment, licensure tracking, and compliance calendars across multiple states
  • Build and maintain compliance processes for HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS requirements, including policy documentation, training programs, and audit readiness
  • Manage healthcare information systems and administrative tooling (EHR/PM platforms such as Athenahealth, Epic, or Kareo), coordinating with IT on access controls and data governance
  • Oversee vendor and payer relationships, resolving escalations on contracting, claims workflows, and credentialing timelines
  • Analyze operational and compliance metrics — denial rates, credentialing turnaround, audit findings — and report KPIs to leadership monthly
  • Lead internal audits and remediation plans, ensuring documentation is inspection-ready at all times
  • Partner with clinical, legal, and finance teams on policy updates, staffing workflows, and budget planning for administrative functions

What We Are Looking For

  • 4-7 years of healthcare administration experience, ideally in a multi-site or multi-state healthcare or health-tech environment
  • Deep working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, payer credentialing, and provider enrollment workflows
  • Hands-on experience with EHR/practice management systems and credentialing tools (e.g., symplr, Medallion, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field (MHA or MBA a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable building reports and tracking operational KPIs in Excel or BI tools
  • Excellent written communication and documentation discipline — audit-ready by default
  • Bonus: FACHE or CMPE certification; experience with telehealth operations; familiarity with value-based care contracting
