Commercial Real Estate Appraiser - Hotel Specialty

Job Location: Washington, D.C.
Department:Real Estate Valuation
Position Type:Full-Time

HVS Hospitality Consulting is seeking real estate professionals who are looking to transition from the residential and general commercial appraisal sector into the hotel appraisal industry with the firm that leads in this specialty (Bachelor's degree required). Those with a passion for learning and embracing this complex property type, along with an established methodology and set of standards, in a collaborative culture are encouraged to apply.

Every Day is Different: Are you a certified general commercial appraiser seeking a fresh challenge in the valuation profession? If your appraisal work has begun to feel routine, we invite you to transition into hotel real estate valuation, where no two properties or submarkets are alike. Our team works on diverse projects throughout the North East Region (and country), covering everything from simple motels to complex hotel properties, providing variety and constant learning opportunities. We offer comprehensive training in market studies, feasibility analysis, and appraisals (valuations), along with hands-on experience to help you master the complexities of this type of commercial real estate. We also fund licensing and continuing education appraisal courses, ensuring you're equipped for long-term success (if you are committed to the firm long-term, we will even fund your MAI). This role is ideal for those ready to expand their expertise, transition into a more dynamic field, and interact with industry professionals who share a passion for hotel real estate.

Ideal Candidate: If you have your bachelor's degree and your commercial appraisal license (or are working towards licensure), are a self-starter looking to start a career with advancement opportunities, and desire to work within a multicultural and welcoming community, apply today.
