Virtus Healthcare Staffing Seeks Registered Nurse - Acute Rehab for Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a regional medical center in Lewiston, ID to find a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Rehab. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled RN to play a vital role in helping patients recover from acute medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries within a dynamic rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Acute Rehab unit.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized care plans focused on patient rehabilitation and achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patients' physical and psychological status, progress, and response to treatment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medication administration, and self-care strategies to promote recovery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and families during the rehabilitation process.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean patient environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Idaho.
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (BSN strongly preferred).
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
    • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical-surgical (med-surg) unit within an acute care setting (preferred).
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Strong understanding of adult medical-surgical nursing principles and practices.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
    • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work independently while also functioning collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential.
    • Experience working in an acute rehabilitation setting.
    • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
