Job Title: Data Engineer - Advanced Level

Primary skill set (mandatory technical skill sets):
• Strong knowledge in SQL
• Develop Data Integration and ETL solutions (preferred Microsoft Platform – SSIS or Azure)
• Business Intelligence tools (preferred Microsoft Platform – Power BI, SSRS, SSAS – or Tableau)

Must Have skill sets:
• Programming language (Python is preferred)
• Cloud fundamentals (Azure or AWS)
• Data Pipeline and Analytics architectures
• Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to Have skill sets:
• Snowflake
• Azure Data Factory
• BODS
• DevOps fundamentals


1. Assemble master data sets with process to create and update
2. Assemble trusted data sets by use case. Cases could be related to oil and gas production, worker transportation, equipment maintenance, gas trading and environmental studies

Duties:
o Required: Experience with Snowflake, data warehousing solution
o Required: Experience with SQLServer, structured databases
o Required: Advanced skills w/in Python, Java and SQL programming languages
o Familiar with ETL tools
o Familiar with data prep, data curation tools (e.g. TAMR, Alteryx, Winshuttle)
o Able to translate a logical model into a physical model with implementation
o Assemble complex analytical datasets from multiple disparate systems, requiring data enrichment/data prep in order to publish
o Knowledgeable on data privacy, export controls (ECCN), data use rights
o Knowledgeable on master and reference data, how to build and maintain golden records
