General Description



The Osage Nation is seeking a licensed Geologist to provide geological services for managing geological duties related to the Orphaned Well Plugging Program.



Duties & Responsibilities



Reviewing existing and historical reservoir, production, well, and other information to determine best methods for plugging orphaned wells.
Provide digital and hardcopy of current and historical well productions logs, seismic maps, geologic, and geophysical data.
Maintains the Orphan Well List
This position will work to identify areas with potential unidentified orphaned wells.
Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, implementing and managing geological projects for the Orphaned Well Plugging Program;
Responsible for the monitoring, reviewing, interpreting, and administering federal and Tribal regulations and policies as they pertain to environmental or natural resource matters;
Conduct research of existing environmental or natural resource data; perform federal, state, and local agency visits to research data and conducts Internet research to support project;
Conduct field monitoring projects including the collection of physical science or life science samples for testing and analysis;
Conduct field investigations using state-of-the-art technology including GPS and media-specific instruments;
Design and maintain digital databases of well data; and
Analyze environmental and natural resource data
Prepare written studies and reports and maintain records.
