Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery, approve payments, and negotiate prices.
  • Schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve issues such as shortages and missed/late deliveries.
  • Prepare purchase orders, negotiate prices, and ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Monitor contract performance for compliance with obligations.
  • Analyze root causes of delivery issues and lead resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve deliveries and close supply gaps.
  • Monitor trends, supplier risks, and demand fluctuations using procurement tools.
  • Perform delivery assurance responsibilities and ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Complete other projects as assigned by Leadership.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR
  • 6 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) for technical positions.

Required Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes, including procurement, sourcing, and supplier performance.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP/JDE or related MRP system is preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is a plus.
  • Prior purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 requirements is a bonus.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry and knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices.
