EHSS Lead

Ingredion is hiring an EHSS Lead, this position will ensure that all processes of the plant meet environmental, health, safety, and security control requirements and specifications. Core Responsibilities:
Takes guidance from Regional EHSS Manager to implement and maintain potato plant network's EHSS programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local, regulations and Ingredion Corporate standards and guidelines .Administers site EHSS processes and programs to include training, documentation, enforcement of programs, auditing of programs and retention of records.Implements and maintains the security protocols/processes for the plants in respect to employee safety and in compliance with the Food Safety Act.Takes direction from EHSS manager to follow Workers Compensation laws for the plant.Reports and enters Incidents and Injuries in timely and accurate manner into EHSS database .
Conducts investigations under guidance of regional EHSS manager and implements the preventative and corrective actions.Maintains site environmental compliance with regards to air, water, sewer, and storm water.Conducts site EHSS training (classroom and assignment of CBTs).Leads site EHSS activities, such as training, safety observation program and site safety committee leadership.Reports monthly progress on annual metrics for EHS goals and focal points, determining counter measures for negative deviations to goals.Implements site safety improvement plans to ensure progress towards continuous improvement and overall company goals.Qualified candidates will have: BS degree in an industrial health or science-related field referred or the equivalent EHS experience with a minimum high school diploma.Prior experience in safety, health, and environmental in a manufacturing environment.Excellent problem-solving skills.Medical, Fire Prevention, Security Defense knowledge preferred.Good investigation techniques to find root cause and proper corrective actions.Good speaking and presentation skills.The EHSS Lead position is very well-suited for you if you have as well:Ability to deal with ambiguity.Ability to build trust and confidence at the local site.Ability to effect change through persuasion and good communication .Work with all site employees to ensure engagement in the EHS realm.Self-starter with a strong work ethic.High level of integrity and sincerity.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the site and function in a team environment.Demonstrated strong employee relations skills (change management, facilitation skills) .Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the facility.#LI-NM1#LI-ONSITEWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
