Overview:
Provides screening and diagnostic mammography for interpretation by radiologists. If primary job assignment includes special procedures: assisting the radiologist in the performance of needle localizations and biopsies and provides the patient care essential to radiological procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Assists in general radiographic and office duties as needed. If primary job assignment is on the mammography van is able to drive the mobile unit to different sites.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Must be certified by the ARRT. Obtains certification in mammography plus five years, including advanced breast imaging modalities and/or Mammo QC.
- Required Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
- Certifications: Registered with ARRT in Radiography and Mammography. If practicing in the state of Arkansas, an Arkansas Radiologic Technologist license is required.
