Job DescriptionThe HACCP Coordinator plays an integral role in the overall success of our company. The main responsibility of this position is to keep our food safety plans current with updated federal regulations and guidance policies, industry standards and scientific advancements made throughout the food industry. Also responsible to monitor and reduce noncompliance related issues, conduct traceability reports, communicate with external partners including USDA/FDA, pest control and auditors. You will work within the Quality Assurance team.Key Responsibilities:The HACCP Coordinator will have decision-makingresponsibilities when food safety, or HACCP issues are in question.Keep HACCP program current with inputs from production, government and industry.Review, and maintain HACCP records and any supporting documents aswell as issue deviations.Cross-trained in all areas of responsibility for QA technicians and certified for all areas.The HACCP Coordinator and will be responsible for communicatingwith inspectors on Food Safety issues, including responses to Non-complianceReports and HACCP issues.Responsible for communicating with the QA Management, as well as with QAemployees, with reports, updates, changes and modifications to Food Safetyprograms and procedures, and the HACCP Plan.Training team members on proper HACCP CCP monitoring.Other duties may be assigned, as warranted by the needs of thecompany.Requirements:2-3 years
experience in a similar role within the food industryProfessionally certified in HACCPKnowledge of PCQI (certified and/or can become certified)Must have excellent attention to detailMust be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn quicklyStrong MS Excel skillsMust be comfortable working in an open environment and collaborating acrossdepartmentsMust be able to work flexible hours and weekendsEEO/Veteran Friendly Employer
