ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

* Provide dining service to Residents, guests and family members as needed.
* · Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and Department of Health standards.
* Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
* Responsible for keeping work areas clean and maintaining sanitary conditions.
* Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
* Monitor all food items to see that the guidelines for temperature, taste and quality are upheld.
* Provides a high level of service to all residents and their families in a positive, professional manner.
* Must attend all required trainings and in-services.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

* · High School diploma or GED Equivalent
* Able to provide dining service that meet or exceed hospitality and service standards
* Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, employees and supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements and Experience:

* Experience as a Culinary Aide or in a similar role is strongly preferred
* High School diploma or GED Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Able to provide dining service to elderly that meet or exceed hospitality and service standards
* Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, employees and supervisors
* Knowledge of sanitation practices related to cooking and serving
* Able to work holidays, weekends, and pre-planned special events
* Must be able to read and write
* Follow instructions with a positive attitude

ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY

* Works primarily indoors in a climate controlled setting
* Possible exposure to unpleasant odors
* Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual
* Continuous exposure to residents who are ill, confused, irritable and irrational
