Location: Fargo, ND 58104 United States (100% onsite)
Duration: 12+ months contract
Pay Range $16 to $20/hr.


We are looking for a "Printer Technician" to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary:
This customer-facing, non-exempt HP PC/Printer field break/fix position offers a broad spectrum of hardware support and related services specifically for HP's PC Products customers. The range of products includes laptops, desktops, RPOS, and workstation products. Knowledge of printers is highly desirable. The role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that necessitates positive approaches and a track record of successfully managing multiple stressors. Candidates are expected to be self-sufficient, resourceful, and driven for success.

Responsibilities:
• Provide hardware support and services to HP PC Products customers, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Educate customers about technology, manage critical service events, and interact with multiple levels of both HP and customer management/teams.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to HP's business growth in a profitable manner and within budget.
• Understand the financial aspects and business impact of the services delivered.
• Handle reactive on-site service events, including configuring hardware and software, installing, unit repair, and assisting in technical action plans to remediate PC/print issues.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and alignment apparatus.
• Alignment with customer business needs while maintaining HP's contractual commitments.
• Logical and systematic troubleshooting of various hardware problems on printers, possibly involving third-party software, networks, and switches.
• Prioritize and balance multiple activities and issues effectively.
• Understanding of the financial perspectives on the business and their cause-and-effect relationship.
• Excellent interpersonal verbal/written skills, especially in-person at customer sites.
• Attention to detail and commitment to administrative responsibilities.
• Solid business-based decision-making skills, considering appropriate risk to meet both HP's and the customers' business needs.
• Independent thinking while adhering to standard technological/mechanical and business procedures.
• Industry/company knowledge to provide technology solutions and options to customers.
• Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate technical situations while managing operational challenges.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks/events/commitments based on contract, customer, and business situations.

Requirements:
• Physical ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift, and move 50 pounds of weight.
• Availability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including non-traditional workdays, holidays, and shift work.
• Onsite customer-facing experience.
• Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical/mechanical aptitude for learning new technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional hardware technology training preferred.
