Why Open: working on partnership with new Enterprise behavioral health VP – joined Sentara a few months ago. Pulling in hospital acute, payer side, etc. (moving away from little silos of teams throughout analytics) pulling it together – behavior health hasn't had a devoted focus/space within analytics at Sentara Health yet. VP has goals she's trying to push out – need someone to come in push out road map with her – REALLY need Behavioral Health experience. Want EPIC, hospital acute side, payer side, provider side…
Important Skills (Definitely Data analyst)
Technical – EPIC (requirement)
(flow sheets – Epic: behavioral health patient data PLUS*)
STRONG SQL Experience: Writing Queries – critical
Agile Scrum methodology
Worked on Power BI with tableau
Any experience assisting stakeholder with roadmap; consultative experience
Must Haves:
Bachelors must have – business analytics; hospital admin (possibly); background of having worked through analytics; health administration.
Day to Day:
VP would be prioritizing this person's work; but reporting into Melanie.
There will be a number of objectives that candidate will work through.
Bunch of strategy sessions within this team.
One may be goal to provide a way to improve access to care.
Team expectations of this candidates: May need data to implement new programs across the system for behavioral health – may need data tools that would show what telesite services are doing (have telesites svcs throughout org. – help identify what do they look like? Help identify how to set goals to those and track what's happening- set actionable insights…)
Work on project that provides patient consumer feedback and build tools that can connect us to that data and compare to their goals.
There are so many metrics that the business is requesting and this team is trying to narrow what they can build for them – one stop shot but makes sense
Want UM Dashboard; looking at claims approvals denials; finance data side.
This person would be prioritizing the objectives with (VP) and then coming up with the most important builds first for these types of requests.
This candidate will start with a clean slate – they have one tool looking at payer and provider side and wants to build on that and this person will work with vp to pull in data for these objectives.
Additionally – more high level overview of what to expect day to day provided by Dir:
This person is doing agile methodology day to day
Meet with stakeholders; create deliverables; iterate delivery; get a roadmap; execute roadmap; return
Requirements gathering and delivery; what are goals; do that build.
