Our Director of Engineering would need experience in developing and mentoring people, project leadership and managing a budget. This role will be involved in all of our facilities and will have a big voice in keeping our company world class operationally. PRIMARY ACOUNTABILITIES: This position is responsible for leading the Engineering function for the company, directing all engineering services to support the business, achieving optimal cost effectiveness and process efficiencies.This is a hands-on role in the field, working across manufacturing and distribution center operations, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.Evaluating, determining, and proposing future equipment, technologies, and automation to improve productivity, operational efficiencies, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability.Experience in vendor/contractor management across mechanical, plumbing, process, HVAC, refrigeration, building, electrical, and general construction management, driving both facility maintenance engineering projects as well as productivity projects. Experience leading PLC and Controls AutomationLeading the Engineering Project Management function across complex projects, delivering results on plan.Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Engineering Project Managers and Controls EngineersWorking collaboratively to develop and manage the capital budget and plan for the Engineering and plant improvement budget, working directly with Operations Directors and Plant Managers as well as leading corporate driven projects.Prioritizing and assigning engineering projects, with on-time completion within budget, towards achieving company goals.Experience in guiding the preventive maintenance, reliability, and TPM programs across all locations.Education, Experience, Skills:This position requires an individual that has an engineering degree; Mechanical, Electrical, Automation etc .This position requires at least 5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing or something related.There will NOT BE significant travel required.
