Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Wastewater Treatment Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, operation, and maintenance of our wastewater treatment systems, ensuring the efficient and environmentally responsible management of wastewater generated.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize wastewater treatment processes to ensure the efficient removal of contaminants, including oil, chemicals, and solids.
  • Perform routine monitoring and analysis of wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving the performance and efficiency of wastewater treatment systems, including the reduction of energy consumption and waste production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to the wastewater treatment systems, minimizing downtime and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental specialists, maintenance personnel, and regulatory agencies, to ensure proper reporting and compliance with permits.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in wastewater treatment to enhance system performance and reduce the environmental footprint.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and operators involved in wastewater treatment operations.
  • Provide support for non-routine events including turnarounds, maintenance, troubleshooting, and projects.
  • Support the change management process through evaluation of operational and equipment modifications .
  • Interface with internal departments and external resources to provide unit support and identify opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical or wastewater treatment
  • Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
