JOB DUTIES:Responsible for evaluating existing processes associated with Laticrete system, assisting with continuous improvement projects, and recommending manufacturing enhancements. Specific duties include: (1) identifying defects and risks within production process; (2) reviewing design specifications to understand scope, requirements, and functions of various test methods; (3) reviewing and developing new testing tools to make troubleshooting processes more efficient; (4) assisting in determining root causes related to product and process failures; (5) identifying appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate general function, accuracy and reliability of results, and adherence to industry standards; (6) identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates for products that do not perform within industry standards; (7) using quality monitoring data management system to compile and track performance of various processes; (8) collecting, recording, and transcribing data for future review by Corporate Quality Manager; (9) reviewing customer problems or complaint data; (10) reviewing testing process to define information appropriately to replicate results; (11) reviewing GMS documents to ensure quality of current processes; and (12) maintaining compliant and nonconformance processing documentation through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related; Two years of quality engineering or related experience; including quality control for manufacturing operations; knowledge of construction and manufacturing practices; practical experience in Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques; and demonstrated proficiency with statistical process control methods.
