As a Health Information Management Technician II, you will be responsible for quality analysis and scanning of paper-based documents into the electronic medical record; all acute care admission types. For our team members, this is more than a career - it's a calling.
You will be responsible for:
- Reviews medical record content for compliance with The Joint Commission, Condition of Participation, Department of Health and Human Services, and federal meaningful use guidelines.
- Efficiently audits all patient types of medical records for medical staff deficiencies.
- Completes the reporting process for H&Ps and immediate progress notes compliance for peer review.
- Establishes ongoing monitoring and auditing of assigned staff responsibilities to include maintenance of the master patient index.
- Accurately analyzes, reanalyzes, files and retrieves health information.
- Assist Medical Staff members with DRAGON and maintenance of their electronic message center.
- Conducts accurate and timely follow-up of telephone and FAX requests.
- Assist with Health System wide in-services pertaining to duplicate medical record numbers, remote access to the clinical information system, and maintenance of the Master Patient Index.
- Efficiently completes the electronic medical record processes for meaningful use compliance.
- Assists with the review, critique, update, and/or development of policies and procedures for health information operations to include meaningful use and the release of medical records for continuation of care.
