Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an Adult Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC). This is a Full-Time role at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide behavioral health services to military service members and their families.
MFLC counselors provide face-to-face counseling services to military service members and their families. Counseling is supportive in nature and addresses: living conditions, life skills, improving relationships at home and at work, stress management, adjustment issues (such as those related to returning from deployment), marital problems, parenting, fear, grief and loss.
Counselors also assist with health and wellness presentations and training in consultation with the installation command staff regarding behavioral issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA)
- Candidate must hold and maintain a valid unrestricted counseling license or certification in North Dakota
- Typical licenses include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, LMHC. Clinicians under supervision may not apply
- An understanding of the military lifestyle and working with military family members
- Ability to work independently to develop, implement, and evaluate safety and intervention plans to meet individual and family needs
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and must speak fluent English
- Be able to pass all background/suitability checks which may include additional installation specific requirements
Desired Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
MFLC counselors also benefit from:
