Capital Project Manager

Our client is a leader in the Lithium-Ion industry known for its innovative technology solutions and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Capital Project Manager to join their team and drive the successful delivery of their projects.
Position Overview:
As the Capital Project Management Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of various projects within the organization, with a focus on clean room or dry room environments. Leveraging your years of diverse project delivery expertise, including extensive experience in Design/Construction Project Management, Facility Services and Facilities Management, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the total project process from site selection to commissioning, including project scoping, concept development, design, procurement, and construction.
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute project programs.
- Direct the RFP process for selecting architects, engineers, and construction firms.
- Utilize project management software to monitor and track project progress.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for clean room or dry room environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience in project management, with a focus on capital projects.
- Strong and established construction contacts in the Greater Raleigh area.
- Strong knowledge of UBC, IBC, NCBC, and ISO standards.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $500 million.
- Knowledge of sustainability and indoor air quality standards.
- Familiarity with GxP, GLP, CQV, and FDA regulations.
- Expertise in clean/black utility systems and construction execution.
- Experience with controlled environments - clean room or dry room environments.
- Understanding and managing projects related to the design, construction, and operation of clean room facilities – coming from industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, electronics, and aerospace, or any industry where even tiny particles can adversely affect the manufacturing process.
- Experience managing projects related to the design, construction, and operation of dry rooms – coming from industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, or any industry where low humidity levels are critical for product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in construction of large-scale projects, such as buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities
- Proven experience coordinating various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Extensive experience in Facility Services and facilities management, including managing the maintenance and operation of facilities, overseeing space planning and forecasting, and leading a team of facilities professionals.
