Role Description

The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for managing programs, processes and policies including talent attraction, acquisition, retention and development, workforce planning, benefits, payroll, compensation, training, leadership development, performance management, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, employment law and compliance. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management / Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in an HR generalist position.
  • HR certification: PHR, SPHR, SRHM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP (preferred).


Essential Functions

  • Assess and manage HR functions, including but not limited to HRIS, compensation, benefits, payroll, wellness, talent acquisition, career path and development, performance management, succession planning, engagement, retention, training, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, diversity, inclusion and belonging, rewards and recognition and absence management.
  • Guide the creation and implementation of leading practices related to the employee value proposition and innovative work solutions.
  • Champion a culture of passion around the mission.
  • Partner with CHRO, CEO and leadership team to develop and implement a phased, multi-year talent strategy, reflecting organizational capacity and ambitious growth over the next 3-5 years.
  • Develop, and mentor the HR team to support the organizational growth.
  • Create and implement human resources strategies, which enable the organization to attract, retain, develop, and motivate a highly skilled and productive workforce.
  • Research current and emerging developments and trends relative to human capital and collaborate with senior management to incorporate practices into existing and future strategies focused on the workplace, workforce, and community.
  • Collaborate with executive management to establish career development programs that support a sound plan of management succession that meets the organization’s current and future needs.
  • Develop promotion processes and career matrixes that will grow internal pathways for employees.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective.
  • Manage benefit and payroll compliance and accuracy.
  • Closely coordinate with Accounting/Finance and other teams to ensure alignment and compliance with all HR functions.
  • Design and develop training programs, tools, and resources for team members that will increase education, training sessions and ongoing learning experiences.
  • Design and implement key performance indicators, metrics, monitoring, and reporting systems to effectively benchmark organizational progress in key areas of HR, including but not limited to retention, engagement, and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Identify and comply with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Align performance with rewards and responsibility in the business.
  • Act as ambassador of company culture emphasizing an open-door policy to support employees.
  • Mediate and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
