Positions details:

  • Location: Bartow Regional Medical Center – 2200 Osprey Blvd, Bartow, FL
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person

Requirements:

  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • 2 years experience in the emergency department
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification with the American Heart Association
  • BSN or BS Healthcare related field or an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
  • Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient 
  • Professional accountability and development
