Prokatchers is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Fairfield, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Mammography Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Requirements: Skills: - Performs radiologic and mammography examinations in accordance to established protocols. - Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use. - Responsible for keeping exam rooms neat and orderly. - Reports equipment failures and/or malfunctions to supervisor or director. - Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies to the Supervisor - Responsible for processing images, completing and organizing paperwork - Performs required QC as appropriate. - Adjusts mammography controls as needed prior to schedule start. - Produces high quality mammography images on all patients including wheelchair and implant patients. - Confers with the radiologist throughout shift as to proper viewing, imaging and techniques to optimize patient examinations. - Identifies abnormal breast tissue and repeats exposure or includes additional views to decrease patient anxiety. - Confirms location of prior examination and contacts prior facility to secure previous mammograms for comparison. - Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Education: High school. Graduate of an AMA approved mammography course. Licensure: Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure. Experience: At one year of experience in mammography /x-ray. Skills: Basic clerical and computer experience. Certifications & Licenses: Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure.
