Duties
• You will provide program support for the Life Cycle Sustainment Manager and the Satellite Deployable Node Project Manager by acting as a Subject Matter Expert as it relates to the United States Special Operations Command solutions.
• You will represent the customer support office in performing the project planning for the installation and implementation of new systems.
• You will develop service level agreements (SLAs) that define requirements/expectations for the delivery of customer support services and implements performance criteria to ensure that requirements are achieved.
• You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents.
• You will research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
• You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain customer hardware and software.
• You will perform a variety of functions on a wide range of IM and IT issues.
• You will execute customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
• You will be responsible for the fielding of Special Operations Forces (SOF) communications Satellite Communication (SATCOM) antennas, network architectures, video, IP acceleration.
• You will monitor/maintain on-line operational visibility and reliability of extremely complex communication systems and equipment including: VSAT SATCOM antenna systems; and SOF Information Enterprise (SIE) IP baseband equipment
Requirements Conditions of Employment

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position
You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test
You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal

In Addition: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: customer support services, including configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, installations, and/or training, in response to customer requirement
Examples: conduct analysis and recommend resolution to problems and issues; and assist in developing requirements and managing expectations for the delivery of customer support services

or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D
