Pulmonary Lab - Respiratory Care Practitioner
Respiratory Therapy
The Pulmonary Lab - Respiratory Care Practitioner will:
Under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager, administers pulmonary function tests, and pulmonary exercise testing.
Requirements:
* Licensed by the State of New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
* Three (3) years of experience in respiratory therapy or Certified/Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist by NBRC.
* Requires excellent judgment and communication skills.
* Demonstrated competency in all pulmonary function procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served; the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs; a knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
* Demonstrated competency in the care and treatment of the following age groups: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.
* BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 30 days of start date.
