Position Summary: Organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physical injury or illness. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity. Evaluates, tests and assesses a variety of referred patients, utilizing various measurement tools, systems, devices and techniques to formulate, revise and implement a treatment plan which is based upon the evaluative findings and physician referral and is consistent with the quality and quantity care standards of the program. Coordinates and communicates evaluation findings and patient#s response to treatment both individually and in team conferences. Provides direct patient care by applying and utilizing various physical occupational treatment procedures, modalities, and techniques in an effective, safe, efficient, timely, and proper manner and in compliance with third party payers and medical/legal requirements and standards. Delegates and monitors the activities of other program members in carrying out treatment programs for patients. Provides patient and family education relative to the treatment plan and therapeutic process. Documents treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and other necessary records and reports that are relevant to patient care and program management in an efficient, timely, legible, accurate, and proper manner and in compliance with third party payers and medical/legal requirements and standards. Job Requirements: Minimum Experience: No previous experience Required Course(s)/Training: Accredited program in occupational therapy Required Certification/Registration: Registered occupational therapist in State of Texas Temporary license acceptable CPR Certification Membership in American Occupational Therapy Association.

Required Course(s)/Training:

* Accredited program in occupational therapy

Required Certification/Registration:

* Registered occupational therapist in State of Texas
* Temporary license acceptable
* CPR Certification
* Membership in American Occupational Therapy Association.
