Position: RN-SICU

Location: Bowling Green, KY 

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension

Tentative Start date: 06/10/2024

Traveler Pay Package: $2113- $2275 (Negotiable)


Experience with vascular surgery population, as that is our heavy population, lots of chest tubes, mediastinal tubes, pacing wires, swans, IABP, arterial lines.


Ratios: 1:2-3 for Unit patients, 1:4-5 for step-down acuity

Years of Experience REQ: 2 as RN, 1 travel

Weekend REQ: Every other

Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

License : Compact state

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs: Yes

Special Requirements: Need surgical and cardiac experience


Looking for experience with:

Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Management of dysrhythmias

Obtain 12 lead EKG

Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump

Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR)

Sheath Removal

IV insulin protocols

CVVHD/CRRT

Accessing Ports

Arterial line management

Blood Product Administration

Central line care/management

PICC line management

Starting IVs

Continuous IV sedation

Emergency Medications

Procedural Sedation Administration

Titrate Cardiac drips

Titrate Vasoactive drips

CVA/Acute Stroke management

Assist with management of BiPAP

Assist with management of CPAP

Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal

Care of Ventilated Patient

High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

Interpretation of ABGs

Suctioning (ETT, NT)

Ventilator Management
