ERG seeks an analyst to support our work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Office of Research and Development. We support research projects for federal and non-profit clients and seek support on projects such as climate change impacts and adaptation research, analyzing environmental justice implications of environmental decisions, protecting and remediating groundwater, assessing the management of hazardous waste sites, and the sustainability of our systems for providing drinking water. The position will involve close collaboration with diverse practices across ERG and provide a myriad of opportunities for professional growth. Job location is flexible. Job Description:This position involves providing research support on research projects for the U.S. EPA and nonprofit organizationsThis will require literature reviews on diverse topics related to climate change and environmental justice, reviews of Superfund and other hazardous waste site documents, development of charts and other visual displays of data, and significant report writing and editingIn addition, the position involves frequent collaborative work with employees from related disciplinesData analysis and interpretation of scientific results will be required for some projectsQualifications and Skills:0-5 years of experience in one of the physical, biological, or health sciencesStrong written communication skillsStrong problem-solving and data analysis skillsApplied experience with qualitative and quantitative research activities in an academic or professional settingFacility in managing multiple ongoing tasksExperience developing written products for technical and non-technical audiencesBachelor's or master's degree in one of the physical, biological sciences, or health sciences, or a closely related fieldPreference for candidates with any level of GIS skills
