Shifts: 7:00am-7:00pm

Location: 5837 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville TN 37919

Compensation: $37,500-$41,500 (annual, full time)

Job Description:
  • We're looking for dedicated Mentors who can help our new CNAs become acclimatedto the job and facility. Mentors provide guidance, advice,feedback, and support to the mentee, serving as role model, teacher, andleader.
  • To be an effective mentor, you must be well-versed in the techniques to becomea successful CNA. The mentor will support their mentees' social integration toprovide a well-rounded, rewarding experience at the facility.
  • Guide, support and training of all new CNA'sto develop the knowledge and skills required for the role.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in essentialnursing tasks, such as patient care, hygiene assistance, vital signmeasurement, and documentation.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and proceduresin a clinical setting, ensuring adherence to best practices and safetyprotocols.
  • Assess the progress and performance oftrainees through observation, evaluation, and feedback sessions, identifyingareas for improvement and providing constructive guidance.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learningenvironment, motivating trainees to excel in role at the facility
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, sharingpersonal experiences, insights, and practical advice to help trainees navigatethe challenges of working in healthcare.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and healthcareprofessionals to ensure alignment between classroom orientation and clinicalpractice.
  • Stay updated on developments in nursingeducation, healthcare practices, and regulatory requirements to enhance theeffectiveness of training.

Education, Experience, AndLicensure Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
  • I am currently licensed in TN State.
  • Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year nursing home experience preferred.
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a great team-player,
