Staff Electrical Engineer

DescriptionThe Staff Electrical Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including airports, commercial, government, military and ports facilities. The Staff Electrical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs. Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: airports, commercial, government, military and ports facilities.Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.Applies strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD/BIM related software. Compiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of airports, commercial, government, military and ports facilities.Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. All other duties as assigned. QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam strongly preferred.3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.Telecom/Electronic Security Systems (RCDD) background preferred.Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM (short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies software), lighting calculation software, generator sizing software preferred.Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)Demonstrates proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM (short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies software), lighting calculation software and generator sizing software preferred.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.Compensation$125,000-$175,000The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
