Infection Control RN / ADON Salary:  $54 - $56 per hour, based on experience.

Infection Control RN / ADON Shift:     Full-time. Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Day Shift.

 

Yeadon Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an Infection Control RN / ADON to join our care team. We are energetic, positive, and successful. Come meet us if you want to work in a positive environment where you are respected and valued.

 

ADON DUTIES

  • Assists the DON in overseeing nursing staff and operations. Helps develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
  •  Provides leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and compliance with regulations.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to standards of care and regulatory requirements.
  •  Provides clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff in complex patient care situations.

Infection Control RN Key Duties:

  • Daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, monitor regulatory compliance, to achieve the care environment and to evaluate staff interactions and clinical skills competency.
  • Develops and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice and facility philosophy of care consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Establishes and implements infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development of disease and infection.
  • Provides education to all departments on the application of infection control principles and procedures to specific situations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive nurse onboarding program, including orientation and training of new nurses and other clinical staff.
  • Train and certify staff in CPR, and ensure all staff are current in their certification.

 Infection Control RN / ADON Requirements:

  • Experience with Infection Control practices.
  • Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning Process
  • Graduate of a Registered Nurse degree program of college or university.
  • Current CPR instructor certification
  • Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office, Internet, Web applications, PowerPoint, and Excel.
