Job Summary:

Charlottesville, VA

Interim HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a full-time, night shift contracted position with a pay rate of $49 per hour. You must have at least 2 years of recent and relevant experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

* Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs
* Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
* Educate patients and their families on their illness, medications, and aftercare instructions
* Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
* Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatments
* Assist with discharge planning and ensure patients are adequately prepared for the transition to a lower level of care
* Adhere to all healthcare and safety regulations and protocols
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
* Minimum of 2 year of recent experience as a Step Down in a hospital setting
* BLS and ACLS certifications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
