As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.The team builds Pixel AI features based on large language models. In this role, you will manage data collection design, data engineering, feature engineering, model training, and model evaluation. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Develop and maintain machine learning models, and collect and clean data to tune and evaluate machine learning models.Design evaluation framework and carry out evaluations of machine learning models.Stay up-to-date on the latest machine learning techniques and technologies and apply them to technical solutions.Develop applications on Android/Pixel.Propose, design, and implement data collection solutions, and decompose use cases into tractable technical problems.
