School Psychologist Internship

Qualifications:
  • Enrolled Master's Degree from accredited college or university and in final year
  • Professional Educator License
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills and flexibility
  • Strong counseling capabilities
  • Expertise in all facets of MTSS and PBIS
  • Proficient with assessment, data collection and evaluation processes
  • Ability to lead data based decision making and problem solving at the building, grade and individual student level
  • Ability to collaborate with all stakeholders within the educational community
  • Competence with IDEA rules/regulations and IL procedural requirements

An outstanding candidate for this position is a professional who:
  • Provide therapeutic intervention for students with social/emotional needs under the supervision of a certified school psychologist
  • Perform case management for 504 Plans under the supervision of a certified school psychologist
  • Perform in a leadership capacity with MTSS and PBIS teams
  • Conduct universal screening, progress monitoring and individual assessments
  • Lead school in data collection, aggregation and analysis
  • Participate and provide leadership in Tier 2 grade level teams
  • Facilitate Tier 3 problem solving teams
  • Participate in fidelity monitoring of universal screenings, benchmarking and interventions
  • Develop and deliver staff development
  • Complete case study evaluations and facilitate eligibility/entitlement determinations
  • Conduct and lead Functional Behavioral Assessment process
  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Resource and referral with community-based agencies
  • Crisis management
