Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Magic Valley is seeking a flex/PRN RN OR Circulator to join our AMAZING Surgery Center team.

Schedule: 0.1 FTE (10 hours per pay period) working 1 (10) hour shifts with varied days, starting at 0630 Tuesday-Friday. No weekends or holidays.

Unit Summary

Surgery Center performs outpatient surgery for Orthopedic surgery, Podiarty surgery, ENT surgery, and Plastic surgery. This is a fast paced environment focused on safe and excellent patient care. We have 2 sides of the surgery center: Peri-Anesthesia and Operating Room. Both sides work together efficiently and collaboratively for the benefit of the patients and surgeons

Responsibilities

* Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
* Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
* Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
* Manages care of patients.
* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
* Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
* Experience: 1+ year circulator experience is required for flex role.
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice ACLS and PALS Highly preferred. BLS is required.
