Jefferson County School District is seeking Substitute School Bus Drivers to fill in as needed during the 2023-2024 school year. We are willing to train the right candidates.

CLOSING DATE: This posting is for the 2023-2024 school year. Applicants will be contacted as needed.
STARTING WAGE: $22.45/ hour

POSITION SUMMARY
This position transports students by Type 10 / Type 20 vehicle (mini bus or SUV) in a safe and professional manner.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE (Minimum Qualifications)
All drivers or others employed or employed in that capacity must:
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstates ability to perform the duties and responsibilites as described within this job description
  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Hold a valid Oregon Class C Driver's License - or have ability to obtain; and
  • Hold a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate - or have ability to obtain

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working as a school bus driver in a k-12 environment.
  • Experience working in a driver position in a non-school industry.
  • Holds a valid Oregon Class C Driver's/license, a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate, and the ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.
  • Bilingual Spanish
