Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a major patient care, teaching and research center located in Dallas, Texas. Established in 1903, the hospital opened with 25 beds and has grown to 914 licensed beds, cares for more than 300,000 people each year and serves as the North Texas flagship hospital of Baylor Scott & White Health. Urology Unit FT/Days and FT/Nights vacancies
Patient Population: Urology, Colon, Rectal; This unit supports a nationally recognized colorectal surgery program; Patient Ratios: 1:5; 35 bed unit, 64 staff
Abdominal Transplant Unit FT/Nights only vacancies
Patient Population: Liver, kidney, pancreas, auto islet cell, and uterus transplant patients, living liver and kidney donors, hepatology patients, hepatobiliary surgery patients, transplant preparation and more; Largest transplant center in the state The first to perform uterus transplant in the U.S.; Patient Ratios: 1:3-5; 33 bed unit, 70 staff
Acute Care/Medicine Opportunities:
Internal Medicine Unit FT/Nights only vacancies
Patient Population: Nephrology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, and Gastrointestinal; Patient Ratios: 1:5
Neuro Telemetry Unit FT/Nights only vacancies
Patient Population: Stroke, Surgeries (Brain, neck and back), Seizure and Altered Mental Status; Patient Ratios: 1:4 for Day shift and 1:4-5 for Night shift
Registered Nurse Requirements
* At least one year of inpatient hospital RN experience
* Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
* RN - Registered Nurse
* BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
