Job Summary: NSP is seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of nursing care within our clinic. This role includes supervising nursing staff and medical assistants, overseeing patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The Clinical Nurse Manager also plays a key role in staff development, performance management, and policy implementation.


Reports To: Managing Physician and Clinic Administrator


Supervises: All nursing staff


Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise nursing staff, ensuring that all nurses are providing high-quality care. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance to staff members.
  • Patient Care Oversight: Monitor patient care to ensure that it meets clinical guidelines and standards. Work directly with patients and their families to resolve concerns and ensure patient satisfaction and oversee care management responsibilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the nursing department complies with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards. Stay updated on new laws and regulations and implement necessary changes in policies and practices.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the nursing department’s budget. Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead efforts to improve nursing practices and outcomes. Implement quality improvement initiatives based on patient feedback, staff input, and data analysis.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce policies and procedures that improve efficiency and provide safe, effective patient care.
  • Staff Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development among nursing and MA staff. Organize and oversee educational and training programs.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate nursing care in emergency situations, ensuring rapid and effective responses.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure comprehensive patient care and operational efficiency.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current RN license to practice in Washington State.
  • Several years of nursing experience, with at least some experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in clinical operations and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in nurse management (e.g., CNML or NE-BC).
  • Experience in the specific clinical area of pediatrics


Work Environment: Our clinic is an established, fast paced practice. The Clinical Nurse Manager may need to work irregular hours depending on the needs of the facility.
