Serves as a consultant, educator, researcher, and clinical expert for the medical center and service area. Demonstrates expertise in the care of age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics) according to clinical specialty, and participates in related continuing education.

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
* Advanced study in area of clinical specialization
* Course work in adult education principles
* Coursework/Training in Performance Improvement and research methodology
* Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
* Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
* 3 years Acute hospital experience in clinical specialty area
* 1 year experience in adult education, patient/family education

Preferred qualifications:

* Master's Degree in Nursing or will accept current enrollment in Master's Degree program
* Within 2 years of hire: Nursing specialty certification
