Patient Care Tech/CNA - Medical/Surgical (6N)

Description:

* Assist RN's and LPN's with meeting the needs of hospitalized patients or nursing home residents
* Actively participate in nursing reports by receiving and contributing to status reports of patient
* Provide complete and thorough personal care for patients
* Take and accurately record vital signs
* Assist and accompany the patient in the admission, transfer and discharge process while assuring comfort and safety
* Promptly and consistently respond to patient's needs
* Promptly and consistently respond to needs of family members
* Complete housekeeping responsibilities such as utility rooms and diet kitchen as needed
* Assist with ADL's- personal care, feeding, bathing, and dressing
* Provide support to patients and family members

Experience/Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Previous patient care experience in hospital setting preferred
* CNA certification preferred but not required
