These are spread across 15+ offices globally, and supported by a large team of analysts, researchers and dedicated specialists.,For more information about our Practice, please visit RoleEngagement Managers serve as the primary contact point for senior client executives and Oliver Wyman consultants staffed on client engagements. While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience the ideal candidate will have the following: Leading teams of consultants on a wide range of Corporate & Institutional Banking-related topics. This typically includes driving the day-to-day direction of the project; managing the analytical and qualitative problem-solving process; directing the team’s primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insightsSynthesizing findings into written presentations and presenting these to clients and other stakeholders with the Partner teamOverseeing and guiding the consulting team as they develop hypotheses, review client information and conduct client interviews, derive insights, and produce deliverablesSupporting Partners in project execution through excellent project management, including work planning, workflow management, and coaching / developing more junior team membersManaging client relationships and networks, presenting to senior audiences, and working day-to-day with senior and mid-level clientsBuilding relationships in the industry, with clients as well as through industry forumsSupporting a subset of Oliver Wyman’s global industry platforms as key members of our specialized teamsEffectively communicating issues and solutions in formal and informal settings, through written and verbal communicationDesired Skills and ExperienceEngagement Managers serve as the primary contact point for senior client executives and Oliver Wyman consultants staffed on client engagements. While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience the ideal candidate will have the following: 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm, and/or in a CIB-related business (e.g. wholesale banking; market infrastructure; financial technology; financial services private capital), or with a financial services focused government and supervisory authorityExperience in and knowledge of topics in capital markets, investment banking, commercial & corporate banking, wealth and asset management, market infrastructure or alternative investmentsKnowledge of changes in financial services regulation and other key industry trendsTrack record of leading and managing teams, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environmentsStrong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skillsOutstanding written and oral communication skills in both formal and informal settingsExcellent relationship building skills with clients of all levelsA willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented teamYour AttributesOur team comprises all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds.
