Job Duties and Responsibilities

Join our DISH Wireless 5G RF National team as a Staff RF Optimization Engineer, serving as the optimization expert to support field-based engineers in our 5G deployment. 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Support RF Engineers in optimizing the DISH 5G network across multiple technologies.
  • Lead trials in golden clusters to validate network features.
  • Collaborate with ORAN vendors to develop and implement FOAs.
  • Manage RF gold standard parameters and ensure market compliance with national RF guidelines.
  • Foster partnerships to drive innovation and automation in network design, deployment, and optimization.
  • Develop and share documentation on system testing activities and troubleshoot problems.
  • Specify high-level designs for network support and ensure best practices across the organization.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Staff RF Optimization Engineer, you will have: 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of wireless industry experience
  • Proficiency in database tools: SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle, etc.
  • Skilled in development languages for data automation: Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience with data analytics tools: Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Familiarity with RAN optimization tools: TEMS, Actix, NEMO, etc.
  • Mastery of wireless network architecture technologies and industry standards

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $180,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
