REQUIREMENTS
This position requires completion of an accredited nursing program and licensure (LPN or RN) in the State of Tennessee or a Bachelor's in Psychology or Social Work . For an LPN/RN candidate, this position also requires at least one year experience in an psychiatric setting. For a Bachelor's candidate, the position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a psychiatric setting, with one year inpatient experience required. Prior experience in utilization review preferred, but not required.
JOB DUTIES
This position is responsible for the review of Ridgeview patient cases to determine appropriateness of admission and continued stay, according to criteria outlined in the Ridgeview Utilization Management Plan. The position is also responsible for maintaining data on inpatient admissions and continued stays for both internal and external reporting. Monthly duties include completion of both Inpatient and Outpatient quality audits.
