Evaluate the nature and extent of acute illness or injury and establish priorities for BLS and ALS treatment. #Carry out procedures based upon Statewide Treatment Protocols, Standard Operating Guidelines and Medical Control direction when applicable. Manage the emergency patient#s environment in a manner that assures optimal on-scene care as well as expedient transportation to the most appropriate medical facility.
