Description

Primary duties include:

• Establish IV access utilizing peripheral or central catheters per protocol. Drug should only be prepared once an IV access is established and labs verified.

• Administer chemotherapeutic agents per protocol, strictly adhering to EMR orders and verifying all doses with another RN or Pharmacy prior to administration.

• Assess patients for side effects and/or symptoms and perform physical exam appropriate to the assessment. Consult with MD or NP for changes in mediations or new orders.

• Maintain a therapeutic environment where patients are the focus and your peers are your team

• Provide a safe environment for both patients and peers adhering to OSHA guidelines and using PPE as provided.
