Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintain 3 office hours for students. Flexibility to scheduled office hours and student communication sessions throughout the week to best serve the needs of the AHS students.
* Monitor the University e-mail account and respond to questions from students, faculty, and staff in a timely manner.
* Have a thorough understanding of course material.
* Attend a two day intensive assistantship training. Before the academic semester begins, graduate assistants are required to be on campus the Thursday and Friday prior for training and professional development workshops.
* Available for departmental or Graduate Assistant meetings. All GA's are required to attend bi-weekly meetings throughout the academic semester, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Scheduling the time and dates of these meetings will be established at the beginning of each semester by the graduate assistant coordinator. Attendance is required.
* Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week to this role.
