This team is focused on building a deep understanding of Snowflake’s spend on our Cloud Service Providers,  and delivering service specific SLA for COGs and are easily articulated and implemented across organizations to contribute to company margin. AS AN ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:Set the strategic vision for your team and be accountable for team plans and deliverablesDrive team projects from idea formulation, through design and implementation collaborating with partner teamsBe able to shift resources across areas and projects to achieve execution goals and to respond to lessons from customer and production issuesProvide strong technical leadership to the team with a focus on quality, performance, and securityFoster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-makingGrow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team by participating in all steps of the recruiting process from sourcing to closingBe responsible for the career development of your reports, providing continuous mentorship and coachingCollaborate with other engineering teams and cross functional teams in Berlin and world-wideOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience3+ Project Management experience3+ years of engineering management experience3+ years of experience within a Production Environment, SRE or DevOps experience, container orchestration technologies; preferably, KubernetesExperience driving the development of metrics, scorecards and or telemetry systems related to cloud costs and performance.Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, leading and growing technical teamsRock solid engineering fundamentals with distributed systems experience Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCPExperience in a SaaS environmentExcellent collaboration and communication skillsBS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experienceAS A LEADER ON OUR TEAM, YOU WILL:Lead and grow an exceptional team of industry veterans and rising stars building an industry-leading data management system that customers loveTake charge of your own career – this role will push you to grow, both technically as well as a leaderLearn at scale as you and your team deliver essential components of a highly parallel, robust and secure enterprise SaaS platform that services thousands of customers and billions of complex queries every dayEvery Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
